markw_007
hey all, i hardly ever post on here, i mainly just like to read the posts and keep up to date in sheff. Last night, my car was broken into and the cd player stolen, the little ****'s did some real damage to the lock and the centre console. I know this has probably happened to alot of you, and you all know the grief it causes...., im particularly interested in hearing from people who this has happened to in the same area. I have lived here all my life, its not the best of areas but its always been great for me. I work for the police myself, and im interested in knowing what the scale of this sort of thing is like round here at the moment. Has any of you had the same thing, or worse happen to you recently? I was under the impression the area was on the up. I know we cant name and shame on here, however much we'd like to. We all deserve to know who these people are. These scroats should have a finger chopped off every time they do something like this so we all know who they are.

Life would be so much easier if we could keep an eye on the lowlife and recognise when the scum are in the area. Branding them on the forehead with a large 'V' for vermin would be the way forward, and regular reminders of who they are by way of posters and adverts would come in handy as well. I have not suffered from car crime yet, but the threat is always there as long as these scum are free to roam inimpeded amongst society.
markw_007
you know what really ****** me off the most, today, i was planning on booking a few days away, ive always wanted to visit Rome, i have a few days holiday this month, and have spent all week planning it. Now bcos of the little n*b **** that fancied a quick fix with the proceeds of my stereo, i cant afford to go. Its disgusting when you work hard to pay for things, and these people can just take it away from you in a minute of the time!!!
saxon51
With luck this fix will be tainted, and will be his last. It would be so good if the law didn't frown on entrapment. The problem would be reduced if a reasonable sized gang of locals could legally get together and set traps up for these scum, then give them a collective kicking when they are caught. Leave handbag/stereo/CD changer etc on display. Sit in nearby house and wait. Catch scumbag nicking it on video, and give him a good pasting if he appears to be over 16. If under 16, then drag him home and give the parent a good pasting. Message should soon get around. "If you steal from this area, you WILL get caught, and you WILL get a good pasting, and you WILL get your identity published for all to see." Nah, never happen. markw_007
well, as i said, i do work for the police, i dnt think any bobby will disagree with catching them in the act, at least the courts would have to do something then!! Recording em doing it isnt a problem either, its still evidence! cant really justify the kicking though, however the thoughts were there when i saw the car this morning!! Hanksy
I saw 3 youths running out of a dead end street on Friday evening and first thought was car theft. Im at Parson cross too! I no longer leave anything in my car after 3 days after moving in i had the window smashed for a jacket that cost me £5 - I would have glady gave them the jacket if they had asked! markw_007
It is possible that my car was done on friday night too, as i never used it on saturday and it wasnt completely noticeable. The damage could have gone unnoticed for a day. So these lads were busy friday then. The police should ask for help on here more often. Thats two pieces of information already. If these lads were responsible for one or all of them, they may have targeted the area before, and most probably live local. I for one, am not paying to get my car repaired, for them to do it again. I cant afford to claim on insurance as premiums will sky rocket. My car has been parked in the same place for over a year and only now they do it, along with others. they need to be found. Keep the information coming.
kittenta
I live at Southey and it's just as bad around here, we've had two vehicles pinched in a matter of a few months. My car has had both locks nackered, window smashed, speakers stolen, wing mirror broken off, plus they keep going in it just to nosey around and chuck everything on the floor what we need is police walking around the estates like they do at Wisewood and other areas

I was told it couldn't.
