Two weeks might not be enough as you will have to apply via the Home Office before the registery office will touch you. I'm not sure what you need to supply to the Home Office, but try this site: http://www.ind.homeoffice.gov.uk/applying/generalcaseworking/marriageorregisteringcivilpartne
astronaut77
Hi there, I married my australian partner 3 years ago. We were in a slightly different situation as he moved over here first. If you are both planning on living in the UK at all you will need to apply for temporary residency for your girlfriend (you can download forms from home office website). You can do this in person at the Liverpool office, as it can take a few weeks/months by post. We got married in USA and just needed to show our passports and birth certificates - not sure what the rules are over here though. If you've got any questions you think I can answer, please PM me. Good luck!

Surely if you new you were getting married in March, then you should have done some research into what you may/may not need? That said, hope you have a brilliant day, and good luck and best wishes to both you and your new bride. Jayne
