thai
receieved my quarterly bill today,i pay £65 per month by direct debit and have nothing outstanding.Reading furtherdown the bill they say that they have made arrangements with my building society to raise my debits £82 per month, not only am i angered by the fact that this is done without my permission, i also think it is an astronomical rise to my yearly outgoings.so i have decicded to stop direct debit altogether and receive interest from my bank on said amount. O forgot to say its n power for my gas which is cooker and combi boiler.Anyone else had this on their bill,im so angry they really are going to get a peice of my mind in the morning. ok rant over. samcdcd
its because your fixed rate tarriff has expired and your kw/h /gas has now jumped to the current price for gas.so you have to pay the new rates as i do.
Titian
This normally happens if you are using more than paying for on direct debit. Are your bills estimated?

em2007
i pay £14 a month direct debit for each so £24 altogether. they sent a letter saying it was to be increased to £40 a month each! so £80 altogether, even though i'm usually in credit when i get bill anyway apart from a few pence. i nearly dropped off my perch thinking where would i find extra money so i phoned them and after putting me on hold for about 15 minutes they just said, 'oh its a mistake in our billing department, they've chnaged it back to£14, sorry, bye' i wonder how many other people just pay the 'increase' even though its not needed! the skankin figs!
