Crayfish
I have nothing to do this weekend, and thought I might as well do that nothing in a pleasant European setting. Booking a flight to European cities this weekend, however, appears to be around 100 pounds more expensive than if I were to book it for next weekend. If I turned up to Manchester airport with no fixed destination and asked what flights needed more people, would this be cheaper or more expensive than booking it in advance? Or would they just tell me to get lost?
GazB
Ryanair will fly you for about £20 each way to Dublin, going Saturday coming back Sunday?

Definately worth doing, my mum used to do this all the time, allbeit from East Midlands, she used to get some really good bargains
Crayfish
Going today, coming back Sunday Getting a bit worried about where I'll be sleeping and things, but if I just do it really fast I won't have time to worry about that. Crayfish
Thanks guys! I'm still teetering but might well do this. Can't go for more than a weekend unfortunately, or I'd be off to Mt Kilimanjaro or somewhere exciting. Considering I'll be going alone, will have to work out accomodation when I get there and have no language skills whatsoever, it's probably safer to go to Europe and hope someone speaks English! GazB
Good lad! I'd join you if I had a bit of spare cash lying about.. Beats the bog standard weekend of drinking, take-aways and hangovers!
never wrong
dont try budget airlines they dont discount tickets on the day why because they are usually full and at the prices they charge they probably cannot get any lower anyway

No that is the cheapest way to travel, a friend of mine went to Caribean for 2 weeks £200.00 return!! by far the ceapest way to travel, but you need to have balls of steel if you want to wait and see who's got what.. sometimes it can be an hour or a 3 days!! but yes very good bargains
Crayfish
Paaah.... dissappointing! They don't do stand by tickets any more, part of the security clampdown. Same day tickets are well expensive now. Still, saves me two days in the rain on a park bench in Prague
