xbecx   10 #5 Posted January 6, 2007 The mashouse is indeed now a Pasta Bar...not been though..dont think its connected to the one on Sharrowvale though, is it?
 Share this content via...
longiesta   14 #6 Posted January 6, 2007 think it is, heard it somewhere... doubt it will last, the building is tiny, im sure they cant take that much money per night...  presumed that was why mashouse closed, unless anyone knows otherwise
 Share this content via...
genesiscouch   10 #7 Posted January 6, 2007 Their phone number is 0114 275 5060. Went tonight and it was pretty good. I hope it does well. The Mash House was good in concept but didn't quite make the grade for me, every time I went I was really disappointed with the food. jacwelina   10 #8 Posted January 7, 2007 The Pasta Bar - Devonshire Quarter that is, is owned by the same people that run the one on Sharrow Vale Road but they are pitching it as an 'express' version. So basically a slightly simpler but still same type of menu and particularly good for takeaways. It is very small, but in a pretty good location, very handy for the west one dwellers and people who work in town. Plus the food is great and freshly made. Mashhouse was nice, but sausage and mash isn't really something you'll want to eat on a hot summers day. I hope they do well, I thoroughly recommend it anyway! Sauber   10 #10 Posted January 8, 2007 Having looked at the menu I think they are overpriced.  Not quite. They have medium prices in my opinion. ------------------------------------ fsbo home selling tip http://www.tryforsalebyowner.com/tips_for_selling.html
 Share this content via...
banesmabes   10 #11 Posted January 8, 2007 I've only heard people spout good things about The Pasta Bar, but when I went I thought the food was awful. It tasted like one of those dolmio stir in sauces. Very disappointing....
 Share this content via...
pete_jim   10 #12 Posted February 27, 2007 Five of us went last night and all really enjoyed what we had. The cheesecake portion was a bit small but the chocolate sponge pud was fab. Not cheap but good value all in all we thought.  It is an offshoot of the one on Sharrowvale Road, they have also taken over what was the 'Lovers Leap' cafe in Stoney Middleton, can't imagine why though. I think they have somewhere in Rotherham too.
 Share this content via...
