cgksheff
Thats a shocker.. I do hope she is okay. They said that she was going to continue in her duties as Lord Mayor. Is there some confusion here? Jan Wilson is Leader of the Council. Jackie Drayton is Lord Mayor.
fox20thc
My error Jan Wilson not Jackie.
cgksheff
Thanks for the clarification. I may not agree with all of her politics, but I give her credit as a very hard worker with the best intentions. Let's hope for the best.

Tintsexpert
Although i dont agree with her style of leading, I wish her & her family well, at least the council has'nt been allowed to mess up cancer treatment in sheffield, & she may even do something about the parking situation at weston park, something I know from experiance will frustate & anger them. As I have told her on many occations.
Tony
Whilst she may have the best intentions, if she is dealing with a serous illness she should stand down and concentrate on getting better while leaving running the '5th largest city in the country' to somebody with no life threatening distractions. Come on Jan, I really hope it all works out, but now's not the time for being brave and trying to do more than you're able, despite what you're colleagues might be telling you about "support" and "confidence" in your abilities whilst you're ill. Get well soon.
