help on wet weather days out

Recommended Posts

we have a load of friends coming to stay from all over the country next weekend and i was wondering if anyone could give me some good ideas of where to go should the weather be a bit naff. there will be about 20 of us and there will be a hand full of kids to. if the weather is good its no probs as we are going for a day out in the country, play out door games/walk/eat etc. its if the weather is naff.

cheers

I went to Xscape and Freeport at the weekend, there's loads to do - cheap designer shopping, skiing, sledging, a climbing wall including an asult course in the roof, bowling, cinema, restaurants, arcades. It's well worth a visit or people of all ages :)

It's good but expensive, imagine a family of 4 going in, it's like £20+ to get through the door, that's without the obligatory stops for sweeties that the kids want, and cuppas for the parents.

And to be honest I think that's what puts people off going to things like Magna, the expense... Whereas if you go up to Bradford to the National Telly Museum or to the Royal Armouries in Leeds for example, the entry fee is free cos they have Museum status :loopy:
