Hi Mick, and welcome. Take a look in the walking group forum if you are interested in walking.

Hi there,

Welcome aboard.

There are quite a few people on the forum who are at varying places along the Autistic Disorder spectrum, including some people with high functioning autism and Asperger's Syndrome.

I'm sure you'll come across them!

Joe :)

Hi Mick

Welcome to the forum.

There are a few people on the forum who have been open about being diagnosed with autistic spectrum disorders- I'm sure some of them will see and respond to your thread during the day.

Whilst I'm not on the autistic spectrum, my ex-husband has Aspergers, so I understand the stresses that it puts on your life better than most.

Hi Mick, and welcome to SF. My nephew has aspergers, I think you`ll find its more common than what you think!

Yeah, more common than the Daily Mail readers will admit, and THAT is why some of us are still part of teh unemployment statistics...

I was diagnosed with aspergers at 23, I'm now 30.

Hi Mick and welcome to SF

I don't have Aspergers myself but my 9 year old son does amongst other things. He's high functioning and I hope, like you, it won't hold him back in life.

I'm sure you'll meet many nice people on here
