Sedge
well, we have had to upgrade our aerial and add a signal booster, and we still dont get a good signal. it works 80% of the time, but any weather and its f****d. i hope it gets better before the turn off. martss
Up untill a couple of months ago my postcode couldn't recieve freeview, now I can get it with the communal aerial on the block I live in and a booster that was bought from Argos about 10 years ago. As I understand it, they are increasing the digital output power gradually, so hopefully by 2011 we will all be able to recieve.
dosxuk
The output power will not be increased until the analogue signals are turned off. Increasing output power now carries the risk of people losing their analogue reception because the digital signal is interfering too much. Most low signal strength problems will be resolved when analogue is finally turned off.
