Chris_Sleeps
the van which had trailed me for a couple of miles, pulled in beside me and the occupants all climbed out. Then I got an earwigging for not pulling over - it turned out that my main headlight was out and these were a bunch of coppers! Only a marked police car can legally pull you over, so you did nothing wrong. If a strange van was following me i wouldn't stop for it.

Any police car can pull you over, many traffic cars are unmarked. However, the police officer must be in uniform.

Trickle
And to me too, id report it to be honest. The roads she mentions arnt exactly the best to try and car jack on. She probably just had her rear fog lights on or something.
never wrong
The roads she mentions arnt exactly the best to try and car jack on. She probably just had her rear fog lights on or something. any road is good to car jack my recollection of the roads mentioned where suitable mostly dark and not many people or traffic about I would have to say most of the roads mentioned were ideal for carjacking what does anybody else think
Shazbat
The roads she mentions arnt exactly the best to try and car jack on. She probably just had her rear fog lights on or something. What the hell difference does that make? Since when would criminals be that picky? And no, she didn't actually. If I see someone without their headlights on or excessive fog lights, I'd flash once and leave them to it. I wouldn't follow them for a mile or more! I've just reported it on 101 so it's recorded, whether it was sinister or not. And I was worried enough to lock my door, even though my pet hate is locking myself in the car. savbaby
Doors locked. Windows closed. At ALL times. same here, although my doors locking system is weird, if i lock the doors from indide with the button it you cant get out until its pushed again so as soon as i am on motorway or dual carriageway i push the button. It force of habit now but i feel safer!

Trickle
I've seen people flare into road rage over little things like another road user leaving a indicator on etc. Perhaps he got blinded and wanted to blind you in return. It wasnt a serious suggestion with the lack of data available. All you have is a car following you flashing its lights. In the near zero hypothetical event a police man questioned the driver over this behavior all the chav would do is claim he was trying to warn you about something. All reporting it would do is add another been count on the long list for the police to have a reason to patrol the s2 region - though they pass through frequently anyway at supersonic speeds blearing away up City road every hour on the way to the Manor. If you read the OP properly then you would see that they checked their lights as soon as it was safe to do so. To me sounds as though either car jackers or these idiots who have taken to the roads just to harrass people! Glad the OP is ok:thumbsup:
