Short breaks in Scotland - any ideas?

Recommended Posts

I'm thinking about taking a short break in Scotland in February or March. Two adults, no kids, looking to get there as economically as possible (not driving) and stay somewhere off the beaten track in comfortable B and B or self catering. Stunning landscape/seaside a bonus. Any ideas gratefully received. Ta.

I have - it's beautiful. If you like the Peaks you'll love it. Saying that though all the islands are pretty rugged and wild up there.

Thanks very much for the info and links, seriessix - I'll certainly look into your suggestions more deeply. Cheers!

We have been several times with David Urquhart travel. tel 08457000400, http://www.davidurquharttravel.co.uk - excellent value for money. we are in our

50's and are usually the youngest on the coach - so if you are very young, it may not be for you! They have all sorts of holidays, all over the country, some for 5 days.
