Steroids.. Whats the deal?..

Recommended Posts

After the comments, no im not.. Will do it the old fashioned way. :)

Thanks people..

you make your own choices in life. I'm not saying take them, or don't take them.

Go chat to someone whose used them though - and make your own mind up. If you were tempted before.... then I don't reckon that 10 minutes on this forum will change your view. Especially if you'd already seen "the man whose arms exploded".

Ryan,

Assuming that you're already working out at some gym, there are plenty of legal and safe supplements that you can take in order to try and help you boost muscle mass and/or strength.

If you have a basically good exercise regime and eat 'reasonably' healthily, you should see gradual, if slow, gains in fitness, strength etc.

If you've been doing this for a while, or want to gain weight/strenght more quickly then things like protein powders/shakes and creatine can offer a useful 'extra' safely and legally when used properly.

A few of my mates have used steroids in the past and nearly all had psychological problems of varying degrees. It usually manifests itself as aggression, in fact one of them actually murdered a bloke.

You would have to overdose on "supplements" like powders and pills and eat about half a ton of pasta a day to compete with the gains steroids can give you. In fact you simply cannot do anything to make muscle tissue repair itself as fast and efficient as steriods can but its just not worth the risk Ryan.

When I was into bodybuilding I knew quite a few who were on steroids. Some results were amazing, especially on higher dosages, the yellow skin and lack of genitalia, the pendulous breasts, the raging, psychotic tempers, the FEAR as the user went off them and saw his gains shrinking almost before his eyes...

If you like to see people suffer for nowt, then watch a heavy steroid user. Its hilarious.

Theres no replacement for good hard work in the gym, along with good nutrition and if youre very very lucky, a few good genes here and there.

Jus the ones that speed up the process of making you look better! Dont get me wrong i could probs do it without the help of em, but just wondered of the experiences and to see what they were actually like...

And ive been told you inject it, is this true?

The way to administer them is via intra-muscular injection-into the buttock.

Trouble with that is, if you get a vein instead of muscle its bye bye world. If your lucky you`ll be killed. If your unlucky... youll wish you had been killed.

I spent 15 years bodybuilding and I never used weight gain crap or steroids and even though I didnt have good genes for building muscle, I still managed to get 18 inch biceps, a 46 inch chest, 36 inch thighs. It takes longer but its safer, more rewarding, and the gains stay with you, they dont drop away as soon as you stop pumping yourself with the juice.
