medusa
I'd suggest talking to forum user GrahamY, who can put you in touch with the Cats Protection people, who are the major users of foster carers in Sheffield.
sooz22
I would givethe local rescues a ring and also the RSPCA. Also you can also go 'private' so to speak and take in unwanted and found animals until a space in a shelter becomes available but it is much easier to be rescue affiliated as they can help you with checking homes and also vets/vaccination and neutering fees.
