Johnh
If you have, I just wondered how you got on adjusting the base. Nothing in the handbook and helpline is closed. Don't want to force it an break it?

Johnh
they are usually tight when new if you think that is the case use a little washing up liquid smear it very lightly with your finger and then try again Thanks, I'll have a go with that when I get home! It really is tight as the entire case of the unit bends when trying to move it? There are several screws in the base, but loosening them doesn't do a deal. Might go and have a play with the showroom model in Sainsbury's at CPeaks first!!
DIVA
Be careful! Last time I bought something electrical from Sainsburys at Archer Road, I had a nightmare. It was a hifi system. I set it up at home and the sound was diabolical, so, presuming, I had the same rights as shopping from anywhere else and there was a grace/trial period for electrical goods, provided they were not personal hygiene items, I could take it back! WRONG! When I took it back, they said that I had opened the box, so it was their store policy not to take any electrical items back once they had been opened. That's why I have never bought anything electrical from there since.
alankearn
If you have, I just wondered how you got on adjusting the base. Nothing in the handbook and helpline is closed. Don't want to force it an break it? I have recently bought a LG 15 inch from J Lewis When i took it out of the box the base was turned to face the screen. I had to push in a release pin (near the hinge) to unlock the base so that I could twist it so that the tv would stand upright on it.
_johnnyb_
We bought one a while back and the base is indeed very very tight. I couldn't see any way to slacken it off so used some brute force and it does move although it takes some effort.

Sue 'em,report them to trading standards, start a worldwide boycott. This is illegal under the Sale of Goods Act. http://www.dti.gov.uk/consumers/fact-sheets/page24700.html That is a quick version. It just seemed a bit drastic doing it as a two man job as he advised. Its done now, but the guy did say that a few people had returned them on that basis. willman
bought the same one. had to remove half the screws before it budged. even worse if you want to wall mount it, all the back has to be removed..
