babycakesuk
Hi all i thought that i would start a topic to cover posative experiences, baby groups, schools, nurserys, sure start, home start or who ever. I'll get the ball rolling i have found Meganursery to be fantastic, i'm on to my 3rd child attending and they have all done great, with the support of the wonderful staff there. Sure start have given me loads of support help and confidence over the years. Breast feeding cafe was good for a natter and swaping tips Tiny talk has helped boost my two youngest language, all the other mums there are really friendly and its just a lovely group (baby sign language group) Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
Eleke95
I've always gone to playgroups with both my kids (now 10 yrs and 22 months) and I think it does them a world of good. Learning how to mix, play and share as well as meeting new people from in and around the area that you sometimes end up going through their school life with. With baby no.2 I also went to a few Sure Start run groups. The best and most useful to me was baby massage. My baby loved it and I found it helped as part of a bedtime routine when she was younger. Sure Start can be very helpful with a wide range of problems that you run into with kids and the staff are usually good without being 'pushy'. Liose
There is a Mini Music group on Thursday's at Mosborough which is amazing. There is half an hour's playgroup and then half and hour's singing with puppets/nursery ryhmes and counting. It's £2.50 per session and worth every penny. I'll find out contact number because it really is lovely.
