Chillicat, a quotation should be in double inverted (") commas, a non-quoted piece should be in single (') inverted commas.

Thus your sentence should read

" "Fun" is a noun, and therefore does not take the qualifier "very". Try 'great' or 'a lot of' instead." "

Actually, the thread is not about a test, as suggested, instead it appears to be about a lesson.

If your such a perfectionist why has this been posted in Sheffield chat when it has nothing to do with Sheffield?

Should that not be "If you're..."

tut tut tut...... its time you stopped correcting people.

-looks down at you while you (04jessops) sulk in the pit of shame-

I think it's time for me to come out of my pit of shame now, and I will go about correcting your sentence:

tut tut tut...it's time you stopped correcting people.

(I am a bit cheeky!)

Go on, try and stop me this time! I'm on a mission to correct peoples' spelling and grammar, and I won't stop for anything (unless you kill me). :hihi:

Not content with having a go at smokers, now the poor spellers get the "04jessups" treatment. Is there room on your pedestal for a little one?

Aah - it's nice to be loved!

OK - this will not be well received!!!:rant::rant:

I will now correct your sentence:

I see where you're (or you are) coming from.

04jessops at your service!!!

Why do I get the impression that English is not your first language?
