chrisyb
Right, We are not one to moan but i need to let this off my chest... Just recently whilst walking in the woodseats area I have managed to step into several mounds of dog excrament///S++t. What do you think of this and how can we stop these pesky dog owners from causing a stink in the area... woof woof
Heyesey
If on the pavement, someone is breaking the law; if in a public park, almost certainly ditto; if in a wood well off any beaten track, or on some wilderness ground somewhere... well, just be careful where you walk. They have to go *somewhere*.
Strix
You can contact the council and demand to know what they are going to do about sending an ambassador or some such body up there to dole out a few fines Don't you dare go suggesting that us responsible dog owners, who never leave the house without a pocket full of plastic bags, shouldn't be allowed on the streets or in the park actually - how about a national dna database for dogs? Easy to locate owners who abandon their pets, identify the owners of stolen pets, and catch the perpetrators of this filth you are talking about
Plain Talker
You can contact the council and demand to know what they are going to do about sending an ambassador or some such body up there to dole out a few fines Don't you dare go suggesting that us responsible dog owners, who never leave the house without a pocket full of plastic bags, shouldn't be allowed on the streets or in the park actually - how about a national dna database for dogs? Easy to locate owners who abandon their pets, identify the owners of stolen pets, and catch the perpetrators of this filth you are talking about  too right, I would not dream of letting my dog poop in a park, or on the street, without "scooping-the-poop". And, if I can clean my dog's poop up, as a wheelchair user, I'm sure the able-bodied, idle swines who leave it behind can do it. I buy a box of 300 nappy sacks, from the £1 shop, which last me a decent time, simplicity itself, there's no excuse.

jayne67
We even clean up after our dog in the woods at rivelin. There is no excuse for not cleaning up dog poo. ( Going now, before I go off on a tangent, about irresponsible owners!) Jayne
bluesandtwos
we always clean up after ours. I think its about as antisocial as drink-driving these days to leave your dogs mess behind. shop the culprit if you catch them in the act but defo let the council know. Owners can now be prosecuted from retrieved DNA, so dont always need to be witnessed now. Or you could watch the dog perform, then follow the owner home and deposit it on their doorstep, WITHOUT a bag, they they may get the message. Guest
..... and supermarkets should be banned from producing carrier bags with holes in the bottom! Aren't they there to minimise the risk of accidental suffocation? Try double- or triple-bagging. That'll minimise the leakage, olfactory or otherwise.
