Anyone else not done any shopping yet?

Recommended Posts

I traditionally get all of mine on Christmas eve. I reward every pressie I buy with 2 pints in the pub, then go and buy the next pressie. Last year I spent a total of 40 minutes shopping and 5 hours in the pub. Proper boy shopping! :)

Hi Andy. Sounds like my kind of shopping!

I used to love working in Orchard Square Body shop when I was a teen.

At 3pm you'd get all these drunk men coming in, some who couldn't even talk and they'd just reach in their pocket, pull out WHATEVER was left and hold it out to you and grunt! You'd pick the notes out from the shrapnel, mucky tissues and fluff etc, Then you'd have to try and piece something together from what was left in the store. (This was when BS was a mad place!) I always tried my best as I felt sorry for poor wifey waking up to THAT hangover on Christmas day.

My 2006? Well not even written my cards yet - no tree up - and all my pressies to buy tomorrow perhaps or maybe fri or sat. I like to condense Christmas these days. :)

I have also not started, I always leave it until the very last minute, eg : Saturday coming.

I am out Friday night with work colleagues and I am bound to have a hangover, so here is my 4 days plan of action for crimbo:

Friday : go out in the evening and get absolutely drunk

Saturday : wake up with a hangover and go to Argos shopping

Saturday night : off out again and getting drunk

Sunday : wake up with another hangover and wrap all pressies up

Monday: meet up with all family and hand pressies out and get drunk

Getting drunk... this country really does have a problem with binge drinkers... Whats all the fuss with this getting drunk lark.... It's boring...

I'm on here and I should be wrapping presents (hastily bought yesterday). My best friend and my Godson will be arriving from Surrey tomorrow and I should have some decorations up ---- eventually! Perhaps that large gin was not a good idea on an empty stomach. Oh well, time to log off and get entangled with cheap wrapping paper and unco-operative sellotape.
