Leipzig
I am looking to purchase speech recognition software, but one of the minimum requirements is: Creative® Labs Sound Blaster® 16 or equivalent sound card supporting 16-bit recording. How do I determine what the specification of my sound card is? I have checked System Properties - Hardware - Device Manager - Sound, video and game controllers, but cannot find anything there which seems to answer the question. I purchased my Packard Bell imedia computer in January 2002.
neeeeeeeeeek
It will be fine. On the very slim change it's not then buy a new sound card for about a fiver!
Norbert
You need a reasonably powered PC to run the latest Voice Recognition, you'd better check the minimum spec on the software. You'll get much better results with one of these USB microphones as well: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Plantronics-DSP400-Skype-Compatible-Headset/dp/B0002YD4VG
