Deepcarowl
I think I have an allergy to Meadowhall, been today to try and do my Christmas shopping (I know, I know I've left it late again!) and even though there were still 2 or 3 things I needed to get I had a sudden compulsion to run to the door, get in the car and get as far away from the place as possible. It was hot, noisy and full of women with pushchairs walking three abreast trying to run over as many people as possible, old women just stopping in the middle of the walkway and screaming children being totally ignored by their parents. Oh well, I guess thats my annual trip to Meadowhell over with for another year! Anybody else had a similar experience?

liam1412
I actually just remembered. When I was a Yoof I used to pratice the fine art of skurdling in Meadowhell. This is where you stick your arms out in front of you with your hands together to a point. This way you can walk at exactly the speed you want as any blockade of any description can be gently but easily removed with a quick parting of the hands. This was obviously before I knew what any sort of decency was. It did work tho. Anyone else used to skurdle as I heard it got a bit of a fad amongst the younger generation of my time. :hihi:

Good Plan. Although not been so lucky with size the fingers to a point usually helped
FairyNormal
I HATE Meadowhell so much. I haven't been once this year. It makes me physically ill so I just don't go. The bright lights give me migraine and the heat makes me feel sick and dizzy. Why anyone would CHOSE to go there is beyond me. Give me fresh air and space any day! medusa
Kevlar body armour in bike leathers gives you lovely hard elbows for moving people out of the way too. I have to say that Meadowhall gives me a headache- everything from the lighting to the noise and the recycled air in the air conditioning make me want to hurl.
