surg
Does anybody know how I can get involved in Sheffield's environmental initiatives? I've thought about becoming involved in a 'friends' group but I don't want to tie myself down to one particular location/park as I have a passion for all of the citys green spaces. Therefore I want to get involved in something city wide. This is my new years resolution! Thanks.
purdyamos
Sheffield Conservation Volunteers. BTCV (Scroll down for Sheffield details) SCV go out every Sunday. BTCV work on weekdays. Both organisations travel to a wide range of sites around the region.
beckelina
Have a look at volunteering with the SCC Rangers: http://www.sheffield.gov.uk/out--about/parks-woodlands--countryside/ranger-service/volunteering-opportunities or taking part in their events: http://www.sheffield.gov.uk/out--about/parks-woodlands--countryside/ranger-service Or if you are interested in taking part in events in the north of the region (Stocksbridge, Bradfield parish, Oughtibridge) then PM me and I can send you details of the Steel Valley Project activities!
