Rich
My Dad's on the free package, and IMO it's not that good, regularly doesn't connect, and when it does it's slow as anything, especially at peak times when the Internet in general is busiest such as after 6 PM on weekdays and most of the day at weekends. Doesn't help being a long way from the exchange either, local exchange for S6 is in Wadsley Bridge, behind the Fletcher's factory on Claywheels Lane apparently, we're up the top end of Stannington.. Long way from the exchange.

NorbertColon
Veeeery interesting -seems from the responses so far that 'you get what you pay for'. I currently pay £29.99 a month for 2MB broadband, but I get 100% reliability, no delays, no email problems and no limits on download etc. £10 for 16MB seems a bargain., but not if it's a croc. bobsyouruncle
Dont think its all that good, tbh, my brother has just got it, and emailed me to let me know and give his new email addy, it took him at least a week figure it all out and for me to receive it, but when I replied through my hotmail account, all he got was blocks and squares, it looked like a defrag!!!! As i'm with BT BB, and ok, I pay £25, I'm very happy, no reliability issues, no problems, sometimes the modem needs resetting, but thats about it. No matter which provider I have been with in the past (BT, AOL, Freeserve, SKY) I've never used their e-mail systems, so can't comment.
ELSoames
Our friend has just had it installed and is having nothing but problems, something to do with the wireless kit, their pc isn't up to spec and is taking forever to get the updates. Not neccessarily Skys problem but still a problem to my friend. We have Zen Internet 2mb BB for 35 quid a month, sound a lot but there are no fair usage policies as we download/Upload alot of stuff! Just moved our website to them as well from Legend Communications who wanted 125 quid a year to host the site, Zen is 40. Same service, emails go quicker, totally reliable now! fluffy&pink
I personally wouldnt bother, we joined cos we thought it was better than telewest, and its not. The net works when it likes, and it took nearly 4 months to set up. I also rang once to ask for assistance as to why it wouldnt work, and it took 1hr 20 mins! crazy! When our contract ends, we are running!
