Comodo antivirus, is it any good? any recommendations?

Don't install it - it's looking like it's going to shape up into a very good program but beta AV software is a real bad idea. They've still got loads of unpackers to implement and shed loads of signatures and the whitelist for the HIPS system is nowhere near complete. It's not going to be much use in its current state and lots of people have had issues with it killing the OS.

It's definitely one to watch, their firewall solution is top drawer. Personally I'm sticking with avast! 4 Home for the moment.

It is indeed, the COMODO firewall is solid and is an excellent firewall for beginners and advanced users....I use it on my notebook.

The Anti Virus is beta and does destroy OS's.....but that's part of the fun...isn't it?:P..well it certainly rendered my MBR onto the scrap heap...:D

So would I recommend?...only if you are a Beta tester....stay clear if not.

Yeah I rendered a couple of PC's unbootable in normal mode for a short while with beta 1.

Reading through their forums it seems they still have some nice features to add to the firewall (full HIPS) - the fact that the CEO posts on the forum all the time with updates and asking opinions (and actually listening) is a breath of fresh air. I really do hope they do well.

I've got comodo and bullguard on my Vista machine, should I uninstall?

I am getting thoroughly hacked off with constantly having to click the "is this a safe application Y/N" buton off which comes on every few seconds.

I've tried to uninstall bullguard, but it doesn't seem to want to let me do so.

the comodo and bullguard both seem to be a bit like the A-Oh Hell programs, wrapping themselves round pretty much every application on th hard drive.

I've been over half an hour, so far, trying to uninstall BG and getting so flaming frustrated, it's still only 1/3 uninstalled so far.

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!
