jayne67
Travelling up towards brookhill roundabout this morning, and the traffic lights on the pedestrian crossing (last one before roundabout) changed to red. I looked through my mirror, and the traffic was some distance behind me. I stopped, and a group of about 5 people, including a lady with a pushchair, proceeded to cross. The next thing this van, belonging to a company called ..no I won't name the company, but with the reg xxxxxxxxx, roared through the lights. Luckily there was only one person about to cross, on his side, but its a good job the pedestrians in front of me had their wits about them, and saw the van approaching. I know people jump red lights all the time, or just can't stop because of the proximity of traffic behind, but the lights had been on red for a few seconds. I can only assume the driver was in the wrong lane, because I followed him up Barber Road, and sooner than wait and indicate, he jumped the lights. If this is you, be ashamed of yourself. Vrsaljko
Some people. I think you should name and shame the company.
simondjuk
Or phone the company and speak to the manager, maybe then he might get a bit of a bol***ing for nearly killing someone or even better, get disciplined. Hopefully there was a camera or two about that caught it
Classic Rock
It's not the company's fault. It's the driver's error.
FORE
Yeah - phone the company, or email them! (I bet he had one on those 'How's my driving' notices on - NOT)
jayne67
It's not the company's fault. It's the driver's error. Thats why I am reluctant to name the company. I don't want to tarnish the name of the business, due to the driver. Saying that though, it could be his business. Jayne
Guest Pauly
I can't think where Brook Hill is. Was it a Kier Van, just wondering.
jayne67
I can't think where Brook Hill is. Was it a Kier Van, just wondering. Brook hill is the university roundabout, and no it wasn't a Kier van. Jayne
weenireeni
sorry to go off topic, but why do people start these threads with 'was this you....'? Its not as if the culprit is going to own up on a public forum......
jayne67
Well, if I was on Brook hill this morning (which I was of course!!), and saw this thread, I would have to have a read. I don't expect the driver to hold his hands up, but you never know. If he just reads it, at least he will know that his actions have not gone unnoticed.
