Claireo
After wandering off down to graves park yesterday i had a pair of female guinea pigs in mind. As usual there was no-one about and the pens selling guinea pigs had rabbits in them, and on the floor next to them was a large pen filled with adult males. So i toddle off up to the only guy i could find and asked about females. He didnt seem to know much about them so went off to find this older guy who id seen numerous times before sexing the babys, he went off into a shed like thing which im guessing is where they keep the litters. After a couple of mins the guy i first spoke to came out cupping his hands This is the only female we have left he says. Well this thing looked like a hamster it was that small, tiny little grey/cream colouring a scrawny little thing...after asking how old it was he said it was born on the 28th.....I asked if he ment november he nodded altho i still dont think he knew what he was on about, Which would mean it was only 2 weeks old and that couldnt be right they stay with their mom until at least 5 weeks. So little 'Twinkle' as she was named came home with me, after a closer look she was real skinny...i dont think she has any meat on her at all, u can see all the bones sticking out, she had patchy fur and a little dander. If she was actually older than 2 weeks i thought she could have been the runt of the litter. After some thought i figured that she might be better if she has some company someone more confident to follow round and cuddle with. So much to my reluctance i went off to pets@home (grr) and purchased a lil black and white female named 'Star'. They took to each other to my relif and twinkle followed the more confident star around for food and so on. Shes a tiny thing and i hope that she puts on some weight soon, although her head hasnt been out of the food bowl yet! Heres a piccy: Twinkle She has red demon eyes frm the flash lol! baileys_mum
Clare, you need to suppliment that baby NOW! 2 weeks is FAR too young for a piggy to be leaving its mother, where did you get it from? I suggest you return it and inform the RSPCA

Claireo
Im using some beaphar small animal vitamin suppliments at the moment as that is all i had in. My moms quite worried about it aswell i have been watching it since i got it shes been living in my room. we were thinking about phoning graves back up and speaking to someone. I always thought they were quite a reputable place for their animals.

Lotti
That poor little baby. I know nothing about piggies but I hope for her sake she is bigger than 2 weeks. I really do wish her all the best but I would get her to a vet and find out how old they think she actually is.
