Forget National Service, lets have Compulsory Marriage for all... and no divorce!

Recommended Posts

so you are advocating forcibly marrying off gay people to straight people ? or would the gay people be married off to other gay people ?
:hihi: I think they should be forced to marry straight people. There needs to be some changes to get society back on track.

ok so you are effectively taking straight women and forcing them into a childless and very probably loveless marriage with gay men there

aaaaand

of course straight men forced to marry lesbians brings up different issues, marital rape for one

still 100% behind all this ? (that was not a euphemism btw)

Yep. Fraid there's a price to pay to get things in order. I don't think the men will mind marrying lesbians from what I've seen on tinterweb.

they will when they don't get any sex

this "order" you speak of I assume it means generally less lawlessness, drunkenness, sh*gging around leaving single parent children left and right, drug taking and giving proper respect to authority figures such as civic councillors, politicians and other authority figures

.. or "knowing your place" basically

when did being married stop any of that ?

and what makes you think you will be one of the people at the top rather than one of the downtrodden who touches forelock whenever a noble passes by ?

Compulsory marriages were not uncommon when I was a lad, - the were commonly known as 'shotgun weddings'. :hihi:

It can only be a matter of weeks until one of the authors of the report is found dead in his mistresses bed covered in taramasalata, with a butternut squash stuffed up his anus.

There's another thread running at the moment that suggest the reintroduction of National Service for our young adults.

How about an alternative where we marry everyone off at age 20 whether they like it or not, with no divorce option for say 25 years.

In light of The Social Justice Policy Group's recent Breakdown Britain report it might just be a neat idea to resolve breakdown of our social fabric.

With all due respect Tony I think you sir need to have a long chat with someone wearing a white coat... :loopy:

Two minds with but a single thought - but are they? *ponder* has anyone ever seen Slimsid2000 and Tony posting on the same thread at the same time ... hmmm

Hehe, I think you're perhaps taking me a little too literally. I was using a creative device to raise the topic of the recent Breakdown Britain report. You'll find a link to it on the first post.

Here's a little more about it from the BBC:

Families 'key to poverty fight'.

Tory leader David Cameron has said his party must do more to keep families together, as a report suggests parental splits are creating an underclass.

Couples should be "encouraged to get together and stay together" - possibly with the help of changes to taxation to support marriage, Mr Cameron said.

Iain Duncan Smith's report for the Tories on poverty, found family splits caused social problems costing £20bn.

An underclass was being "left behind" by the rest of society, he warned.

Is the fabric of certain parts of our society breaking down? Is is not a good thing to be encouraging stable family units?

*I'm not being rhetorical

This would do exactly the opposite. It would create thousands upon thousands of unstable relationsips in which people were forced to stay and would probably become violent as a result. LordC posted my immediate thought - murder and violent crime rates would soar beyond all precedent, as well as those of mental illness.

If you're basing your view of real life relationships and sexual orientation on internet porn ... I think you're in for a big shock ....

 right back at Darbees.
