lectrolove
I've recently taken up knitting again after a break of about 15 years. Back in the day, Phildar yarns and patterns were the bees knees but I can't find them in shops any more. I know the company is still going because they have an Internet presence but for things like knitting wool I'd rather not buy online, I like to see and touch them first. Does anyone know of a local stockist?

Wow I wasn't expecting anyone to go to that much trouble, emailing would've been my next move if I couldn't get any info here. Thanks!

Guest
You could try asking one or two of the online stockists to send you a little sample of the Phildar yarns you're interested in. Not as good as being able to fondle the entire skein/ball, but at least you'll get a better impression of the colour and texture, and it's got to be better than venturing up to Scotland . Strands has Phildar shade cards too, which will give you a better idea about which to ask for as samples.
