happyhippy
Only for about forty years or so, that I know of. A wild underestimate .......
Tony
Yep, that's about it. the papers on Friday, Saturday and Sunday all have different outlooks, so each will have to cover it fully which puts us right into next week before anyone remembers how New Labour is going to close 3,000Post Offices and that the Met have pulled Mr Blair in for questioning. carcrash
As Prime Minister's Question Time is every Wednesday, the best day to release news like this so it will be most forgotten by the next PMQs is on a Thursday. I think yesterdays PMQ's was the last until next year
carcrash
It gets better, the serious fraud office have cancelled an investigation into bribery with the Saudi"s and BAE systems. They were close to finding out the truth about 100 million in bribes but today at 5.30 they pull the investigation. http://www.guardian.co.uk/armstrade/story/0,,1952407,00.html
Heyesey
It laid bare not only her own crass insensitivity but the cold stony heart of the New Labour spin machine. To be fair to New Labour, the only difference between them and the old Tories, and Callaghan's and Wilson's governments before that, and Heath's before that, and.... ...is that New Labour haven't even bothered to disguise the fact that's what they do. The Saudis say 'stop investigating the massive frauds that involve us or we stop playing' and Blair says 'okay then'.

cgksheff
"Downing Street was immediately plunged into a row over allegations that it had chosen the day of the publication of Lord Stevens's report into the death of Diana, Princesss of Wales in an attempt to "bury the bad news" of the police interview."
