Skatiechik
Just moved a website onto my paid hosting. The domain name was framed forwarding before. All I want is to change the nameservers for the domain name so it points to my webhost. However I don't own the domain name, and the owners has trying to change where it points. The setup seems mega complicated to the simple 123reg control panels I have used before for doing this. The site the domain name is attached to uses the plesk control panel system. He has changed the two NS, but does he need to change the other stuff too? As it doesn't seem to be updating the change of nameservers at all when I look at dns look up. (This is normally instantaneous with 123reg, although takes longer to propagate).
Ghozer
name server changes are usually done at the registrar end.. if he's hosting his own DNs through plesk, and it was (previously) his IP'(s) that were set as the name servers, then who ever he registered the domain with, will have to change the name servers.. if you register with 123reg, and change the name servers, then decide to move else where again, you still need to change them at 123reg again.. I will come back to the second paragraph in a minute. I know how 123reg works, I was just making the reference to it as it is all I am familiar with regards to domain names. I know from my experience when I change the nameservers in 123reg it is instantaneous. However this domain I don't own, someone else has registered with a company called gnhosting. I have bought my webhosting, so I can host more domains, now we want to change the nameservers to point to my paid webspace instead of the framed forwarding it currently has to a free ISP host. However there doesn't seem to be an simple option for this in his control panel. Just something about primary DNS servers? Coming back to the first paragraph. I didn't grasp it I am afraid, can you rephrase into beginners english please.
Ghozer
ok, quite simply.. if they registered with gnhosting, then its through gnhosting they need to get the name servers changed...

Yup which is what I was asking about in my first post The gnhosting control panel (plesk) doesn't seem to have that option? Apart from changing the primary DNS server.
