big_g
Last night I was eating a toffee. Unfortunately, the toffee has either pulled a filling out or broken a tooth. Do you think I can sue the toffee makers as there was no warning on the packet? Joking apart, just rang the dentist (NHS) and cannot be fitted in for almost six weeks. No problem, I’m not in that much pain. In the interim though, is it advisable to do any extra vigilant cleaning routines? It’s an upper molar that’s gone. Should I now be cleaning after each meal to stop the build-up of food in the cavity? Cheers G
Stormy
Do you think I can sue the toffee makers as there was no warning on the packet? Lol you know, the tragic thing is, you probably could. And whilst your at it, you could probably sue the Dentist who put it in there for negligence.
lyndix
you can buy temporary fillings from any large chemist, make sure you give it a good clean first to remove the leftovers from last nights tea! They come as a little stick, break off what you need and soften in hot water, then pack it into the cavity. it sets very rapidly once out of the hot water, so you have to be quick! failing that, gaffer tape accross your mouth will stop any food getting into the hole and causing more damage! babyboom
Try another dentist you should be able to get in somewhere, you might not be in any pain now but it might get worse, mine did when I did the same thing.
Banjo Griner
If your teeth are crap it's your own fault - you can't sue anyone.
mikeG
I had that happen a few times and after paying for 4 replacement fillings, I gave up toffees. I make do with chocolate, ice cream and ale.
mart
Cleaning routines.....i would advise using a mouthwash several times per day to keep bacteria at bay and prevent infection. Keep looking for a dentist though-6 weeks is quite a while in that situation.
