Stiffmyster
just wanted to let people know how proud i am of my little boy.he is only 3 and has just been part of the school nativity play.the children had a choice of being angels, stars or sheep and my son chose to be an angel.(much to the amusement of some narrow minded parents). all the children were brilliant but my son was fantastic bless him. he joined in all the songs and sung all the words.and he looked just fabulous!!!!! a great big thank you to all the staff at longley nursery who taught all these little uns all these songs within 2 weeks!!!!!!! you did a great job!!!!! Zebra
Awww, I think when my girls get to that stage it's just going to make me cry to watch them. Anyway, what's up with being an angel? Wasn't Gabriel a fella? After all rumour has it that he was rather responsible for certain things. Did you get emotional?
scoop
I've got my little boy's first nativity on Friday, I'm welling up just at the thought of it. I was a wreck at his sports day in the summer!

Here here to the staff at Longley Nursery my little boy attends this nursery and i totally agree with you Stiffmyster it was absolutely brilliant, your lucky your son only wanted to be an angel, my little boy wanted to be a giraffe at first (as it is his favorite animal) and the nursery staff were going to let him but he changed his mind and settled on being a star. But i must say the little boy angels looked so cute.

Did you get emotional? i thought i would cry buckets but it wasnt a traditional nativity,it was a wriggly nativity! basic story but with lots of laughs! they were all sooo great! we couldnt stop giggling.(thats what you were meant to do).i must admit afterwards i nearly cried as i was bursting with pride! hannahbaby
Your son made a great angel! Ignore the other parents, some think they are something special! I agree that the staff are fantastic, will be sad to see Rachel Hurding and Holly Adams leave! Everyone involved did a great job and I did shed a few tears but always do, I'm a real weepie! Yellowrose
The nativities are such hard work when youre a member of staff, but most would not have had it any other way. At rehearsals each year we would be tearing our hair out saying "theyve never been this disorganised/disruptive/whatever". Each year it was absolutely brilliant when the final performance came. I love nativity plays and cant wait until our boy, who is nearly 4, takes part. His nursery is doing a Christmas Concert this year and I will be there dabbing my eyes.
