Help with rehoming 2 rabbits

Recommended Posts

I'm afraid I can't get pics at the moment but here's some more info in case anyone's interested.....

They are called Harry & Larry and have always lived together. Harry (short for Harriet!!) is the female lop - white with brown splodges and black speckles! Larry is a black and white dutch with traditional markings. They are very, very close (which is why I don't want to split them up) and sleep in a little heap together. they also play together. Both are quite small (I don't think they got the best nutritious start in life). I have a very small hutch which I'd be happy to supply if necessary but it really is tiny and they'd need pretty much constant access to somewhere to run.

If you can help I'd really appreciate it. I have no idea what I'm going to do over Christmas as I'm away for over a week and if it comes to it they may have to go to a rescue centre.

Can anyone help...????? :help:

Hi

Are they used to being outside,I've got arealy nice outside hutch, quite big.

But my rabbit (sadly she died in the summer), was always taken in the shed for the winter.

Just we have taken the shed down now, and I was wasn't going to get another rabbit or two until spring,

but I feel realy sorry for these two,oh and where abouts are you

Hi there!

They have both lived outside all of their lives and as there are two of them they can snuggle uptogether. I would have no worries about them being outside for the winter. I'm in Nether Edge but would happily deliver them within Sheffield if it helps.

If you're interested please email me at kaikai_n3@hotmail.com or PM me if thats possible (not really sure how that works cos I'm new to the forum thingy!!!)

Hi Starry I hope you find a good home for them, I am in the same position at the moment and unfortunatley this time of year dosnt bode well for rehoming buns. Poor Harley has just had another home fall through :(, I hope you have more luck.

PS Good on you for stepping in but im afraid you will have little luck with a rescue placement at this time of year, there all jammed full!

I have replied to your email Starry but I forgot to ask you to place them on http://www.rabbitrehome.org.uk for adoption. You will get a better response with pictures and you will need to register first.

Its a long shot but they may know of fosterers with vacancies if they have no places themselves.
