Liose
We nipped down tonight to have a look at the Christmas lights. Pretty sad really. Town used to be excellent for the lights down Fargate and the Moor. Yes, there are some in these areas and there are some around the peace gardens and City Hall however not like they used to be! We're getting there, slowly but surely but nothing to write home about!

Liose
I just think we could bring so much trade back into our town centre if we had better planners for massive events such as...Christmas!!!

Ms Macbeth
All the trees round the Peace Gardens are lit up and there is an outdoor grotto for the first time, the tree in front of Town Hall is pretty, and there are some lights along Fargate and other streets in the centre. City Hall looks great with the pillars lit up and the illuminated fountains at the front. I actually think it all looks quite tasteful. I was under the impression that switching on the lights was a big success this year, and McFly put on a good show. What's missing?

Thunzi
I walked down from Devonshire Green to just past the Library on Thursday night and thought it looked really nice. The area round the City Hall looked gorgeous, and a lot of the buildings from Pizza Express down had sparkle lighting on the exterior. I'd prefer it to look like it does than have lots of really tacky stuff hanging everywhere.
