3dogman
On Wednesday I was using my old laptop which was networked to my desktop pc by a wireless connection, the sygate firewall detected a trojan attack and blocked it great I thought until I tried to use the desktop. It wouldn't work properly, tried system restore still no go so I wonder if the trojan could have attacked the desktop the Norton firewall didn't report any attack on the desktop. Since then I have reformatted the hard drive and reinstalled everthing will this have removed the trojan and will it be safe to log on to my bank and other supposedly secure sites, any help will be greatly appreciated. Also I have installed Zone alarm firewall is it ok? Would it be more secure using a router other than peer to peer. Don't want much Do I?

alchresearch
If you have a wired connection to the net, use this for your banking, rather than wireless.
John
Edit: On Wednesday I was using my old laptop which was networked to my desktop pc by a wireless connection, the sygate firewall detected a trojan attack and blocked it great I thought until I tried to use the desktop. Having searched the web for information running more than one firewall this site at the bottom claims it is impossible to run more than one firewall on a computer http://www.sunbelt-software.com/Kerio.cfm (see the note at the bottom of the screen).
