shaz123 Posted December 6, 2006 Share Posted December 6, 2006 just thought id put this on the forum,as im still annoyed what happened to my son and his mate who are both 14 years old started to go snookering, something they love and caus we live norton area the nearest snooker place is langton,s, i dont know much about the place but they have been going about 4 months,they take a bit of money with them and their bus fair with their cues,usually on a sunday they go, and can you believe it yes they get robbed, collared on the stairs and got threatened, by 2 asian lads, if my son,s mate didn,t hand over his wallet his mobile phone they would do him in, my son stood there and said nothing but very scared, all there was in the wallet was 70 pence and they still took it what scum, they,ve stopped going now obviously, the funny thing is i had a feeling this was going to h appen,this is every day life now.does anyone know of any decent snooker halls around sheffield 8 area. babychickens Posted December 6, 2006 Share Posted December 6, 2006 that sucks...not much else to say, but if you don't report it to the police, then you (generally, not you specifically) can hardly complain that the police don't do anything about it - the more people report stuff, the more likely things will get sorted. you should report it for the benefit of everyone in the area. This place should be closed down. When you go in there these days you are likely to be as high as a kite in an hour from breathing the smoke filled atmosphere, of the Moroccan Woodbine variety. It now seems to be generally populated by asians, mostly pakistanis, Many of these appear to have a somewhat less than friendly attitude towards those of us who are of, shall we say, a rather lighter skin complexion. What stopped me going in was when Ken Bigley was murdered in Iraq and there were comments being made about how the infidels have it coming to them. Try the one next to lescar, I had been going there 20 years (although not anymore after I fell out with them over my membership renewal, me being petty more than anything), never had a prob in there.
