Make XP look like Vista!

Recommended Posts

Looks a bit weird, the folder icons are ugly, but I like the taskbar. The rest of the windows furniture looks a bit like KDE.

One problem - active / non active title bars look the same and I cant seem to change the colours either ho hum.

I've just looked on the site and downloaded a 125Kb file....is this the one you are referring to that's caused the problem savannah?.....

There is a much bigger download of the 5.5 version which is 12.5Mb...which must be the "main" body of the "transformation" programme, with the smaller file just being a modification to bring it up to Version 6.0.

I have not finished downloading as I type this, and I have saved to file rather that run either of them at the moment.

Yes it is the 12.5MB file and the download mirrors were very slow when I downloaded last night.:(

I'm not interested in the program myself, was just going to test it for Ann.:D

It looks pretty good...but why not just get Vista? IMO this is the best, official MS, theme.

Don't think I'll be using Vista for a good few years, definitely wait till SP1 at the earliest. :)

I have tested both Beta versions of Vista and I'm not impressed....prefer from the MS stable W2K:thumbsup:

Well i took the plunge and migrated to vista ultimate x86. Runs faster than XP on the same machine, hasent crashed yet, all the software works fine (including specialist software), its actually a pleasure to use. The aero looks amazing for the first 10 minutes...
