Bikertec
Last night we held our Christmas meeting at the Old Queens head as normal every 1st Tuesday of every month. We asked them last month if it was OK for us to have our party with food and Karaoke and was told yes. Last night we turned up with food and music and was told we couldn't bring in our own food. We even offered to pay for the room so we could take in our own food. Nope because they did there own food, OK make us some sandwiches sorry kitchen was closed. So in the end we had the food set out in the back of the minibus and our guest had to go outside to eat food. We had over 30 people there last night and everyone spent over a tenner which was a good turn around for a empty pub on Tuesday night. The landlord or barman who ever he was had a attitude all night and was very rude when 11pm came around. Needless to say next year we will be looking for a new venue.

If it was just a barman who was having his say, i would take it one step further and get in touch with the manager/ landlord. And report the matter to them. Sheffielder
If you'd not booked the room you should have just walked out and gone elsewhere. I'm sure other landlords would have welcomed you with open arms
KJ_VENOM
look for a new monthly venue too, write a letter to the landlord telling of your displeasure
