alchresearch
I was watching the usual comedy TV on Friday night (HIGNFY, 8 out of 10 cats, QI) and Vic Reeves was on them. He wore the same country squire style outfit on them, but produced very little comedy - just a few silly phrases that raised a snigger from the audience, but it came across as laughing out of pity rather than being actually funny. Did anyone else see them and think the same? Is he lost without his sidekick Bob?
Darbees
Is Vic Reeves still funny? No.
Jabberwocky
Bob was the brains and the humour of the duo, dont you think? Im surprised that Mortimer hasnt lauched himself into a successful career on his own.

Reeves has always come across as an bumbling uncomfortable idiot in interviews which I used to think was for comic effect but having seen him in the "who do you think you are" thing it seems he's like that anyway. alchresearch
Good, that's reassuring to know. I thought my funny bone was broken or there was something wrong with the TV, so I gave it a kick.
AJ sheffield
He was never really funny. As has already been said on here Mortimer was the funny one. Reeves was too stupid, not much clever humour at all. As for Matt Lucas, his comedy is nothing more than slightly clever toilet humour, Little Britain was funny for one series, now its crap. Bolero
Vic Reeves Big Night Out was and still is very funny. Shooting Stars was never as funny as it could have been as the stupid humour was better suited to a stage performance then a quizshow.
SquiffyRaRa
I loved Vic and Bob they were well funny! They should get back together and do some stuff

Too much comedy relies on deliberate catchphrases which The Fast Show was first to do on purpose, followed by League of Gentlemen where it's supposed to be funny series after series to look ugly with your nose stuck upwards or dress as women a la Monty Python 40 years ago.
