4Colour
Had the individual asked then no problem. To assume is bad form and therefore should be frowned upon.
MonkeyLover
hi Ive just filled up with petrol at Bramall Lane When I paid I was asked if I had a Nectar card I said I didnt and as I was leaving the guy behind the counter picked up a card from a pile of about 30 and swiped it. Well obviously I have no use for these not having a Nectar but I was a bit taken aback when he helped himself to mine The more I think about it the more peeved I am What do the rest of you think? Deepak You said this was AS YOU WAS LEAVING - surely, at that time, he would have already finished your transaction = and it would be too late to put "Your" points on? Might be wrong, but just a thought. Maybe he was swiping the cards legitimately, maybe they had been left behind by customers and he was recording them somehow on the till. However, if they were "your" points - then I agree with you, I would be a bit peeved - it is theft from Nectar, after all. Someone I know got sacked from the supermarket where I used to work for doing a similar thing. It was a card that gave staff discount and also points, and she was swiping her card when processing some of her favourite customers, and giving them staff discount, and keeping the points for herself. Strix
Surely anyone can recognise the difference between taking a few unwanted Nectar points and credit /debit card fraud. And just how many people recognise credit card fraud anyway?
56cheffy
Similar thing happened to me at the same garage last week.... I handed over my Nectar card which the guy swiped through the machine. I noticed that the screen said that 'no points had been added'...I pointed this out to the guy, but he mumbled something that I didn't hear properly, but didn't query it, I assumed that he was honest. Maybe he was going to add them to his account after I left! I'm filling up there again later today, so I'll be watching him very carefully and if it happens again I'll ask for an explanation!
