savbaby
i had points given to me in a garage by the counter guy as someone had not collected.. i have often been given boots points by people who do not collect and have on occasions i forgotten my card. i dont see what the problem is? He is probably on minimum wage so why shouldnt he have a few perks, there is no harm done!
Solomon1
hi Ive just filled up with petrol at Bramall Lane When I paid I was asked if I had a Nectar card I said I didnt and as I was leaving the guy behind the counter picked up a card from a pile of about 30 and swiped it. Well obviously I have no use for these not having a Nectar but I was a bit taken aback when he helped himself to mine The more I think about it the more peeved I am What do the rest of you think? Deepak i agree with you deepak. it would have been fine, if he had asked your permission first, as theoretically, they are your property and your choice as to what you would like to do with them. bit cheeky of him to have helped himself, whether they were for a charity or not. Cyclone
The only entity being defrauded is Nectar.
Solomon1
The only entity being defrauded is Nectar. this is not about fraud cyclone. it is about common courtesy surely?
Cyclone
maybe, but you can't claim that 'your' points were stolen when you'd just declined to collect them.
bobsyouruncle
I used to work for BP, the same site, and apparently this is classed as theft, as we are NOT ALLOWED TO TAKE POINTS NOT COLLECTED. The electronic system is polled each evening, and the "rewarded points" are supposed to tally up with the fuel sales, those not collected are SUPPOSED to be "cancelled" off the system, ready for the next reward card to collect the points earnt, thus, they can see where the points are "going", one of the staff there was actually SACKED for doing this. I would report him to Mr McPherson, the area manager.
Yellowrose
Ive seen this before at other shops. I think I used to see it at a co-op where I used to live. I dont have a problem with it. If I cant produce a card to collect the points why shouldnt someone have them.
