Deepak_S7
hi Ive just filled up with petrol at Bramall Lane When I paid I was asked if I had a Nectar card I said I didnt and as I was leaving the guy behind the counter picked up a card from a pile of about 30 and swiped it. Well obviously I have no use for these not having a Nectar but I was a bit taken aback when he helped himself to mine The more I think about it the more peeved I am What do the rest of you think? redrobbo
How can the garage attendant help himself to your points when you've already pointed out (twice) that you don't have a Nectar card?

max
You can only earn points if you have a Nectar card.
nuttygirl
No, you've POTENTIALLY earnt points, if you WERE to have a card. The points do not exist until you've swiped a card through to pick them up. I want to know why he had 30+ cards there, surely he'd put them all on one card and get them quicker? yummyyumyum
the fella behind the counter has broken company policy. i used to work for bp when they used premier points and it was a disaplinary offence to use customers unwanted points wether they were offered to you or not. cgksheff
I want to know why he had 30+ cards there, surely he'd put them all on one card and get them quicker? They would see the multiple awards going onto the same card and flag an alarm. If he has enough cards, they would only get swiped once a day or so. redrobbo
Your post isn't difficult to understand at all Deepack. I can't see why you are therefore having such a problem understanding it. You don't have a Nectar card, therefore you have no entitlement to any points. Simple really. You post as though you've been cheated out of 30 Nectar points. But you haven't have you? In your own words "obviously I have no use for these not having a Nectar". The guy therefore didn't help himself to your points. He may have helped himself to unclaimed points. These may have been for a charity. Who knows? Did you ask him?

Yeah my sister used to work for Boots and it's the same with advantage points. However, I would not be offended if someone took my points if I had refused them. This happens to me quite a lot in Tesco's that someone will offer me their points or vouchers for schools if they are not collecting!! Better than being wasteful don't you think! I agree Shiesh, I've passed points onto someone else, as in the supermarket, I let the person in front of me use mydiscount card if they don't have theres at that time.
