kwtcl1
What's your views on England and Scotland dividing...? will Scotland be better of ? or is it a bad idea ? ... what would this actually mean ? would all Scottish soldiers in the British army form one Scottish army? ... would Gordon Brown be Prime Minister of Scotland instead of leading UK ? Would Scottish need a passport to get into England?... what if they change currency and join the euro ?... would people living in England near Scotland have to change currency everytime they travel to work in Scotland? ... I think they should just leave GREAT BRITAIN how it is.

Ms Macbeth
Scotland would have a labour govt, and England wouldn't. Any way, we're supposed to be the United Kingdom and I'd like it to stay that way.
angle20
It's possible that it may happen and I'd support it happening if it does. I gather, from the trends in the opinion polls, that the Scottish National Party may be the largest party in the Scottish Parliament after next May's election. It's possible that Lib/Lab/Con may gang up to keep them out of office (there's a PR system) but if the SNP do head the administration there they'd be likely to call a referendum on independence. If there was a split there would need to be a division of assets. It's possible that - as with the Irish Republic - there'd be an agreement to waive the need for passport checks but, as with a trip to Dublin, it's possible you'd need to take euros. troubledjoe
the scots hate the english and slag us off at every opportunity. get a large saw, sever scotland from england, push them into the ocean and see how long they last!!
cloudybay
The Scots are wecome to Independence. 5 million live there but only 2.5 million are economically active. The majority of Scots live in England. If the English pull the plug on funding the Scot's they would sink. As far as the Oil goes, it's funded by English and American money. Happy days ! Ms Macbeth
the scots hate the english and slag us off at every opportunity. get a large saw, sever scotland from england, push them into the ocean and see how long they last!! That would be all of us who hate all of you then would it? Hatred of someone based purely on their country of origin is normally a sign of ignorance, as are sweeping generalisations! Last point, which ocean?
