SheShe
Just thought I'd ask because it seems to be getting worse. Fortunately we are ok at the moment so hope none of you have suffered damage.
kitty123
The only damage I have recieved is 'a lack of sleep' last night as compost bins, buckets and boxes flew around my garden at 4am. Not looking forward to tonight it is really picking up, shamed you can't get 'winded in' like snowed in wonder if my boss would fall for it? ChrisTodd
Although the wind is bad in Grenoside, I've not suffered any damage so far.
Heyesey
It's been bad compared to a normal day, but it's nowhere near as bad as the big storms we had between '87 and '91. They've gone missing recently. I remember walking to work one morning and seeing a cloud of glass shards going the other way along Shoreham Street, formerly a window of an office building near Sheaf Square... Under your bed all day, you certainly haven't been out in Sheffield, it's mad here in Crosspool and was in town earlier thought the xmas tree was going to fall on me! purple_frog
i love a day like today, though - it reminds me why it's so nice to be alive - a chance to feel nature at work again! mind you, i put on a load of washing this morn thinking there'd be good drying, but it'd just too windy to stick it oot so it's now festering in the corner! ... oh, and there's the rain starting ....
