LordChaverly
according to the latest YouGov poll. Perhaps this has something to do with the disdain of voters for Cameron's PR gimmickry and shallowness. I hope so. It would do much to restore my faith in the judgement of the British electorate. http://www.ukpollingreport.co.uk/blog/archives/
muddycoffee
It is a pity this because, the Conservatives were making some good points. As New Labour starts to look old sleazy and tired. I think if they start to publish some decent policies they might start to gain a bit of ground.
Heyesey
Perhaps this has something to do with the disdain of voters for Cameron's PR gimmickry and shallowness. Doubtful. They fell for it hook, line and sinker in 1997 when Blair pulled all the exact same tricks.
angle20
As fast as Cameron entices liberal type people through the front door more traditional Conservative type people are probably leaving through the back door. Still, nobody said politics was easy.
Heyesey
As fast as Cameron entices liberal type people through the front door more traditional Conservative type people are probably leaving through the back door. But where to? New Labour managed the trick of pulling in centrist voters, because the voters on the left had nowhere (realistic) to go. Voting for the Arthur Scargill Thinks He's Important party is not a sensible option. Where will voters on the right go, if the Tories move to attract the centre? I have a nasty feeling the answer to that question might be the BNP.

Funky_Gibbon
It is a pity this because, the Conservatives were making some good points. As New Labour starts to look old sleazy and tired. The thing is, whatever they have said has been aimed at getting as much support (or at least media coverage) as possible but whenever anyone has asked them to commit themselves to what they just said they've refused. It bemuses me that anyone thinks that what they say are their policies. They aren't. They have said they aren't going to commit themselve to ANY policies for another 18 months. All they have now are soundbites that try to make them look different. Funnily enough Cameron used to work in PR...
