The Globe pub,, Any good?

I've heard good things about the globe pub, is it worth havign a drink there?

S'alright if you're a student, otherwise it'll probably get on your nerves. It's no different to any other scream pub.

I went in a while ago, they kept me waiting ages at the bar, in the end I sent my boyfriend to get me a drink, I think they were avoiding serving me because they thought I was underage and didn't want to ask for ID.

good for large amounts of food at lunchtime, good if your a student. not good if your a pretentious older person looking for somewhere slick.

I go there in between lectures sometimes in the afternoon, its fairly good if your a student as other people have mentioned. Cheap drinks if you have a yellow card.

It used to be a lovely pub - nice old wooden bar etc and a good pint of creamy hand-pulled Stones. All of this was lost when it became a faceless Scream bar. There was no need for this at all, student pubs in other areas have stayed traditional and are very successful.

I'm not a student and i quite like The Globe. However it does get crowded out with the riff-raff called 'students' and it can be very noisy

Best going when the students have all gone home, you can hold a normal conversation then without shouting.

All in all it's a pretty good meeting point before heading off to the Hallam Union

The same happened to the South Sea in Broomhill amongst many others.
