irenewilde
Any advice on this? A parent at our local school has suddenly started driving a car with 'L' plates on. We've asked her if she's passed her test - she says no. We've told her it's illegal in this country and she mustn't do it but she still keeps on. She's also got 3 small children in the car with no restraints. She's going up on kerbs, driving on the wrong side of the road and as several of us have seen, has no idea how to reverse. If she causes an accident or injures her children we'll have sat back and done nothing. Is it possible to report her? More importantly, can it be done anonymously? It's an awkward situation for me because of where I work.

She might run one of your kids or you over in the morning if you don't.

md25
Try that 101 number, you should get put through to the police pronto assuming 999s aren't taking priority.
yorkiepudd
I know we have the new 101 number, but does the old 0114 2202020 number still work? Try ringing it and asking to speak to either 1) Your local police station 2) the traffic division. Tell them what is happening, along with as much info about the car and driver as possible. Unlicensed drivers (who are also uninsured by the fact they do not hold a licence) should not be on the road unsupervised and her kids coiuld get severely injured or even killed, and worse, your (or another parents) kids could be severely injured or even killed. I always think "how would I feel if it happened to someone and I knew I hadn't done anything about it"? If you feel uneasy about it, I am sure there are many of us on here who would do the deed if required!!!
