Macca
Hi guys. I'm (rather shamefully) in need of some advice. My Spanish Lodger, Lara, has a couple of friends over from Spain. They arrive today and are leaving on Monday. She has asked me what they could do locally to fill their days. They don't have access to a car, so they will be reliant on public transport - we're just on the tram route, so this shouldn't be a problem. The issue is, despite having lived in this city for five years now, I am clueless when it comes to dealing with tourists! Most of the people that come and visit me are my peers, so it's just nights out down the pub for us!! I need a few decent suggestions for them, be they cultural, rural, whatever. Help?! NB - I'll be sending her a link to this thread, so if you're Spanish and more comfortable writing in Spanish - go for it!

medusa
Personally I think I'd stick them on a bus out into the Peak District for one of the days, and have a look to see if there's something you can take them to at one of the theatres in town, which you can combine with an afternoon of galleries and the like for another day. Weston Park museum would be another one on my list too.

Macca
Thanks for the advice so far guys. I should point out - I'm working tomorrow day so not around for them, and I'm going to Liverpool for the match on Saturday, so I'm only around for them on Sunday. Keep those ideas coming though
