Tracie Posted November 22, 2006 Share Posted November 22, 2006 I've been away for a few weeks with work, so I haven't been on here very much I'm sooo pleased to see how many Sheffield allotment holders have been contributing to the group - yay! Thank you all and welcome! One of the original aims of the Gardening and Allotment group was to bring together people from the 3000 odd allotments we have here in Sheffield, so it's great to see some of you here Out of curiousity, has anyone met up at the allotments yet? I noticed a few people sign off with their plot numbers, so I guess it won't be long before forummers start to identify each other Despite having my veggie patch here, I'm sooo tempted to apply for an allotment next year too Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I'm definitely up for meeting the fellow allotmenteers on the forum - anyone on Hagg Lane? We're plot 182, and will be there on Sunday (after a long absence ). Or perhaps pre-xmas drinks? I've met Vicki and Tim from no 17, Dan and family from no 43 and Dave (sorry can't remember the numbers of your plots Dave) all of whom post on here. Although I know that the 'sensible' thing to do would be to wait and see how I manage with having my garden for a full season first (Pfftt.. don't see that argument holding up for long ) I like the idea of a WiFi hotspot... it would certainly mean that it would be easier to spot the forummers (they'll be the ones packing their wellies and a laptop ) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
