harrimj
My son is loking for a house in the Handsworth or Hillsborough and around that area and I have noticed there is a big difference in house prices. Is this due to Hillsborough area being a nicer/better place to live, or does Handsworth not have a good reputation?
Ms Macbeth
Hillsborough is on the tram route, and is convenient for both the Universities and both the hospitals - so people who can no longer afford the areas that professionals traditionally chose have moved in in large numbers - this appears to have pushed the prices up significantly. I can't speak for Handsworth, but judging by the number of skips I've seen here in Hillsborough since we moved last year, there's money being spent on the houses once they have been sold.
