Classic Rock
There is the Mercury newspaper which can be found in various pubs that put bands on. It lists all the clubs and pubs with turns on.
In Uppers
it used to be called OC - Our Clubs Now you'll find out all the acts which are on in the Mercury. What club was it?
Lightninboy
The small booklet was called the "Clubman's Guide". Pretty sure it's still around and available in clubs. Mercury newspaper has lots of listings and on the web, Bellhouse club has it's own site. There's also Rock of the North and Barnsley Entertainment which have some listings and links to gigs and band websites etc! Hope this helps! Not all clubs advertise in there though, for instance Wadsley Bridge doesn`t I don`t think, but they do go in the Mercury. Some clubs don`t go in the Mercury but go in the Clubguide. As someone else said http://www.barnsleyentertainment.com is a great website which is run by a friend of mine, but obviously only mainly covers Barnsley, but is a great site with lots of info about groups in particular. I go with friends to watch mainly rock bands every week, if you want any advice on anybody, or a particular club, pm me!
